Cyclon is ideal for laboratories since it can produce clean water at two feasible rates: 4 or 8 Lhr–1 for single distillation and 4 Lhr–1 for double distillation.

Water can be distributed from the system or collected in a storage reservoir using Cyclon’s simple design and user-friendly operation. Descaling is made easier with the automatic cleaning facility since no dismantling of glassware is necessary.

This affordable and compact water distiller can be installed on a wall or a bench.

Overview

Cyclon: An integrated water purification system

The Cyclon is a comprehensive water filtration system with a matching pre-deioniser and distillate reservoir and is available in 4 or 8 l.h–1 single distilled or 4 l.hr.–1 double distilled form. The Stills are also adaptable to receiving pre-treated water, which eliminates the need for frequent cleaning in hard water areas.

While tap feed variants can easily be updated to use pre-treated water, all systems can be wall- or bench-mounted.

Purity

The “cyclonic” vapor trap eliminates carryover, while the cutting-edge borosilicate glassware design reduces foaming danger and raises purity standards. The distillate exits the condenser at the ideal temperature to ensure product quality. Heating components encased in quartz guarantee that the quality of the distillate is unaffected.

Bi-distiller model

The double (Bi-) distiller is very useful in life science applications where the highest quality distillate is required for higher purity.

The initial distillation is supplied to the second boiler for further distillation using two identical sets of glassware and heaters, eliminating any potential carryover of contaminants. The 4BD model makes 4 liters of double-distilled water each hour.

Safety in operation

The thermistor, which regulates heater operation, shields the Still from water supply disruptions. A thermal cut-out fuse offers additional safety by preventing overheating.

A built-in spillage tray and completely encased glassware ensure the operator’s safety.

Reliability and ease of use

When used in conjunction with the microcontroller, the thermistor sensor offers accurate control of the Still and streamlines maintenance operations.

The robust silica-sheathed heating components are subject to the least stress in a vertical boiler arrangement. This design, which also has an auto-drain feature, aids in preventing scale buildup.

An electronic float switch is included with the Cyclon to automatically turn off the Still when the storage reservoir is full, allowing for safe, unattended use.

Economy

To reduce water use, the flow of cooling water is automatically adjusted.

Cyclon pre-treated feed option

In places with hard tap water, feeding the Still with pre-treated water can remove the requirement for the boiler to be descaled.

The matching Cyclon Deioniser, which is specifically made to supply high-quality pre-treated water, can be used to feed the Stills. To make the most use of the deioniser’s ion exchange capability, Still’s microprocessor electronically controls the deioniser.

As an alternative, pre-treated water from the user’s own source can be utilised with the Cyclon. Reverse osmosis and deionised or filtered water from a central piped supply are examples of suitable quality water.

Cleaning

A fully automated cleaning facility that requires no dismantling of glassware makes descaling simpler. The technique is incredibly effective and takes up little operator time. The double flush program is incorporated into the microprocessor and thermistor-controlled operation to guarantee that the Still can resume regular operations after completion.

The reservoir has a polyethylene liner, vent filter, and cleaning access port to maintain the highest purity levels. On a full reservoir, the electronic float switch turns the Still off.

The variants include the essential connecting hoses and can be mounted on a wall or a bench.
